Carolina Toczycka is the Chief of Staff and Director of Development. She brings her start-up founder experience to realise the team’s potential and seize growth opportunities.

Carolina’s academic background is in infrastructure, starting with a thesis on the diffusion of innovation surrounding Victorian railways. Later during her PhD, she studied digitisation of major infrastructure project’s delivery. She dropped out of her PhD to co-found a railway start-up, deploying AI to optimize network operations. In 2022, she was named as one of the top 50 women in engineering in the UK and holds the claim of having bought a train before buying a car.

Originally from Eastern Europe, she has felt first-hand the devastating consequences of the communism and is a deep believer in individual agency and the importance of human dignity. She’s striving to bridge the gap between Westminster and tech, entrepreneurial ecosystem. In her free time, you can find her recreating Ottolenghi recipes while listening to the All-In Podcast.
